This is an antique silver plated and cut class claret jug. The silver plated handle has a snake wrapped around it with a figural sphinx on top. The mount is elaborately engraved with a face of Bacchus on the spout. The body is etched with leaves and flowers and also cut within diamond shapes. c1880 British made. This has been replated.
