This is an elaborate antique silver plated egg boiler or coddler. Standing on a circular base that is ornately mounted and holds the burner. The rollover lid is supported by two elaborate legs decorated with leaves and paw feet. The lid is engraved with swags of leaves and flowers. Inside is the egg holder. c1880 British made. This is sold in original plate with little wear.
