Antique Sterling Silver Mounted Cut Glass Salad Bowl with Naval Inscription

This is a smart antique sterling silver mounted cut glass salad bowl. The glass bowl stands on its clear pedestal base. The bowl is vertically decorated with strips of horizontal lines and cut with small diamonds. The sterling mount is hallmarked for Sheffield 1899. There is an inscription around the mount which reads - Presented to Staff Paymaster Andrew Hume, RN by the Officers HMS Rodney 10th April 1900.
