Antique Silver Plated Rollover Butter Dish with Pierced Inner Liner

This is an antique silver plated butter dish. c1880 British made. This butter dish is oval in shape and stands on four reeded claw feet with a man’s head above. This retains its removable inner pierced liner for catching melted butter. The lid is rollover and is engraved with scrolls and tassels around a vacant cartouche. This has been replated.
