Antique Silver Plated Wood and Cow Horn Table Gong Modelled as a Viking Helmet

This is a handsome antique silver plated, wood and cow horn table gong. Modelled as a Viking helmet. The square base is mounted with silver plated corners and holds two prongs where the striker sits. There are two cow horns on either side that have silver plated bands at the bottom and top. The gong dangles in the middle. c1890 British made with a makers mark for John Grinsell & Sons of Sheffield stamped onto a shield. This is sold in original plate with very little wear.
