This is an antique silver plated soup tureen by Mappin & Webb. Their makers mark is stamped underneath. This is Adams style. Standing on an oval pedestal base that is mounted with a ribbon & reed decoration to the base, upper edge, the handles and the boat shaped finial. Oval reservoir with a capacity of 4 pints. The handles loop to the side. c.1880 British made. This has been resilvered.
